Death Meets Harlequin at Toronto Fringe Festival

Reviews
Mooney on Theatre review of Death Meets Harlequin and Other Plays --- "Using techniques of Commedia dell'Arte, both characters are caricatures, delightfully so. Harlequin is a wide-eyed and mischievous dreamer, embodied with physicality by David Montesdeoca and paired nicely against Thomas Gough’s red-faced and angry father figure."
Mooney on Theatre review of Mood Swings at Toronto Fringe 2016 --- "The small technical elements of this piece are remarkable [...] Both Tom Beattie and Maggie Cheung give grounded, honest performances, especially given that they perform only a few meters away from the audience [...] Mood Swings won the Pat the Dog play contest in 2013 with its highly poetic, figurative and imagery-heavy script."
Mooney on Theatre review of Unspoken --- "Nina Kaye’s Unspoken pulls off the considerable trick of being immensely charming while simultaneously forcing us to reckon with some of the darkest corners of our lives"

Interviews
WalkLeft Podcast preview of LOVESICK --- "LOVESICK, an evening of theatre shorts working with darkly romantic themes, features the work of local female playwrights and will take place at a different venue each night."
Mooney on Theatre preview of Unspoken --- "Unspoken is a bold look at sexual assault and abusive relationships. Through a series of vignettes and monologues, a small company of actors will challenge the audience’s assumptions, plunge headfirst into the gray areas, and—hopefully—provoke thought and intense discussion about this complex area."
BeMused preview of Let's Misbehave --- "Artistic Director Nina Kaye harkens back to the time of Shakespeare, where poetry and rhymes took centre stage, and the actors drew out the meaning in the text."
